West Yorkshire VCSE Neurodiversity Working Group SeekS ten VCSE representatives

Are you a voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) organisation focusing on neurodiversity?

The Mental Health, Learning Disability & Autism Programme (MHLDA) Neurodiversity Workstream aims to ensure that neurodiversity becomes a collective priority, involving everyone. They acknowledge the vital role played by the VCSE (Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise) sector in addressing inequalities and empowering neurodivergent individuals.

Consequently, the MHLDA Neurodiversity Workstream is seeking ten VCSE representatives to join the newly established West Yorkshire VCSE Neurodiversity Working Group. Two representatives will be selected from each of the five Places: Bradford District & Craven, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds, and Wakefield.

By becoming a member, individuals can:

  • Strengthen and embed the role of the VCSE sector within the Neurodiversity Workstream across West Yorkshire.
  • Identify and explore opportunities for the VCSE sector.
  • Be part of developing our growing WY VCSE Neurodiversity Network as an open space to engage with wider VCSE organisations working with neurodivergent people and their families.

To learn more and apply for this role, please complete the expression of interest form by Monday, October 16, 2023.

Reimbursement: VCSE representative organisations will receive an annual reimbursement of £500. For inquiries, please contact wyicb-wak.hpoc.program@nhs.net.

The working group aims for diversity and inclusivity within its membership, welcoming expressions of interest from VCSE organisations of all sizes and those working with communities most vulnerable to health inequalities.
