Referrals needed for new dementia support groups in Huddersfield and Batley
Kirklees Dementia Support Services, part of the Royal Voluntary Service, is setting up 5 weekly new Dementia Support Groups throughout Kirklees for people living with dementia and their carers.
The groups will be based in Huddersfield, Holmfirth, Batley, Dewsbury and Ravensthorpe. These groups will be provided free of charge and they are looking for referrals for people with early onset/mild dementia and memory problems who would like to attend the groups.
The aim is to bring together people living with dementia, their carers, families and friends to provide support in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Two of our groups have opened this week in Huddersfield and Batley. If you know anyone in any of the other areas who may require this support too they will be able to put them on a waiting list till the groups open.
