Registration App Launched & First Activities Announced
Kirklees Youth Alliance is delighted to announce that it has secured it's first big commission and funding, from Kirklees Council, to run a full programme of young people's activities across Kirklees throughout the Summer Holidays.
The Healthy Holidays programme will include free fun activities, open to all children and young people, including sports and games, trips, arts and crafts run by a range of local organisations and community groups. And every activity will include a meal to make sure that no children go hungry in the summer break.
60 local providers, who are members of the new Kirklees Youth Alliance, have been recruited to put on 48 clubs, offering around 1100 places per day from 22nd July to 30th August. Each group has been vetted and had their policies and procedures checked, plus training has been provided for any organisations that needed an update in areas such as food hygiene, first aid or safeguarding.
Register Now on the Schools Out App
Parents can register their children now via a brand new app called KYA Schools Out, and will be able to book them on any of the activities in their local area from Monday 15th July.
