EASTER FUNDING OPPORTUNITY Invite to apply - Easter 2021
Kirklees Council and Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing would like to offer the opportunity to apply for funding to work with children, young people and families during the Easter school holidays.
Funding has been made available as part of the Department for Education’s Holiday Activities and Food Programme, together with funding from Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing’s Social Investment Fund.
There are two aspects that we are looking to fund over the Easter school holidays that targets vulnerable families –
Week one: Online activities for families to access. Following on from the success of the February Half Term online activities we would like fund activities that can be delivered and accessed ‘live’ online during the first week of Easter.
Week two: Delivery of in person activities. These will be in person activities, delivered outdoors with groups of no more than 15 children (per bubble) aged 8 upwards, targeting vulnerable families and delivered in the following areas –

Could you please complete the attached SIF form together with the additional information form HERE and return to playwork@kirklees.gov.uk no later than Tuesday 16 March at 4pm. Panels will then meet with decisions shared no later than Monday 22 March 2021.
In order to ensure that the widest range of activities can be delivered, they would like to share an indicative funding amount that they would consider for each session. This amount is £62.50 per hour, per session and covers predicted staffing costs and resources. Please look to base the projected costs against this amount.
Please note that the decision to run in person activities during the second week of Easter is subject to decisions made on both a national and local level around lockdown easing.
If you would like any further information then please do not hesitate to contact phillip.blackwell@kirklees.gov.uk.
