Free Training for Unpaid Carers
West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership alongside expert trainer Community Practitioner Alliance are delivering a FREE training programme to support our unpaid carers now and beyond COVID-19. The training is open to participants within the West Yorkshire and Harrogate region only.
Sessions are led by an experienced clinical tutor via a digital platform. A guide to accessing the digital platform will be given to participating carers (privacy settings available e.g. turn the camera off). Training lasts 45 minutes with a maximum of 8 people on each session, and offers support with:
• Keeping the care space safe
• Managing Linen
• Disposing of personnel waste
• Basic hygiene for visitors
• Handwashing
• Basic Personal Protection Equipment gloves, aprons and masks
• Carer Mental Wellbeing
