TSL Kirklees is excited to announce that we are recruiting four Community Workers for our new Energy Neighbours project.
Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in your local community by addressing fuel poverty and promoting climate action.
About the Energy Neighbours Project
The Energy Neighbours project has received over £900,000 in funding to empower local people in Kirklees to take collective climate action and reduce fuel poverty. This community-driven initiative will strengthen local voluntary and community organisations, involve residents, and help retain money and resources within our communities.
Who We Are Looking For
We need passionate individuals with strong connections to the local community who are ready to engage, build relationships, and drive change.
Our Community Workers will:
- Empower communities through co-production and community organising.
- Address key issues like fuel poverty and climate change.
Work in one of the following areas:
- Batley & Heckmondwike
- South & West Dewsbury
- North Huddersfield
- South Huddersfield
Role Details
Salary: £27,500 (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: 23-37 hours per week (negotiable)
Contract: Fixed term until January 2028
Location: Based in Dewsbury and your chosen community area
