
Join the YPIP Community Panel & Make a Difference in Your Region
Are you passionate about creating positive change in your community? The Yorkshire and Humber Policy Innovation Partnership (YPIP) is looking for motivated individuals to join its Community Panel, a key part of driving forward community-led solutions across Yorkshire & Humber.
What is the YPIP Community Panel?
The Community Panel is at the heart of the YPIP project, focusing on giving communities a voice in shaping policies and decisions that affect their lives. Panel members will:
- Represent their communities and bring their knowledge, skills, and personal experiences to discussions.
- Help shape the co-production journey of YPIP by contributing to decisions across key areas, including tackling inequalities, accelerating climate action, and enhancing cultural engagement.
- Collaborate with local communities, voluntary organisations, and the public sector to create sustainable change.
What’s Involved?
As a panel member, you’ll:
- Attend four meetings per year, with your time, travel, and expenses compensated.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to equip you with the tools to succeed.
- Prepare for meetings by reviewing agendas and key materials.
- Work collaboratively with other panel members, voicing your community’s concerns and ideas while maintaining respect and confidentiality.
- Advocate for underrepresented voices and ensure the panel’s decisions reflect the needs of diverse communities.
Who Can Apply?
They’re looking for individuals who:
- Are at least 18 years old by October 1, 2024.
- Live in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
- Have a passion for community-driven change and possess key qualities like open-mindedness, good judgment, and respect for others.
No specific qualifications or professional experience are required. They’re seeking people with enthusiasm, integrity, and a commitment to making their community’s voice heard.
