How did you find out about volunteering?
Through the Homeless & Vulnerable hot meal event at PKWA Community Centre.
What type of activities do you usually do as a volunteer?
I pack food parcels and deliver them. I also help people get access to further support.
What do you like about your volunteer role?
Making a positive change to people’s lives and the community.
How has volunteering made a difference to you?
As a Muslim, helping others and giving food is to follow the example of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and helps draw one closer to Allah, ‘’He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while his neighbour is hungry’’.
