NHS medicines waste campaign: can you help?
NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board are planning a campaign on the importance of only ordering the amount of prescription medication that’s needed, and how to dispose of medicines correctly.
Over-production and incorrect disposal of medicines is very damaging to the environment. The Board is looking for community groups who can help by hosting one of their colleagues from Qa Research during the weeks of Monday 4 – Friday 8 April, and Monday 11 – Friday 15 April. They’ll speak to people about how they order, use, store and dispose of medicines.
The information gathered will be used to create a communications campaign that could make a real difference to people, the environment, and the NHS in West Yorkshire. No personal questions will be asked, and no-one will be asked about their medical history or any health conditions they may have.
