TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

- Wednesday Daytime
We are a volunteer led organisation, who cook and deliver hearty meals to those within the Slaithwaite, Linthwaite and Marsden areas every Wednesday.
We were started with the help of The Hairy Bikers 10 years ago, and currently deliver approx 35 meals to the elderly within our area.
We are looking for someone to take over leadership of our volunteer-led group. The current Leader is happy to offer shadowing and support until you feel confident in the role. We deliver hot meals every Wednesday to local residents, as well as a friendly chat. We are a busy team including Drivers, Cooks and Kitchen Volunteers. The Group Leader role will co-ordinate activity and deal with any problems that arise. This includes helping at the group on Wednesdays and admin tasks in between. You will be making a huge difference to the local community in this rewarding role. Please submit your details below if you would like Kim to contact you for an informal chat to find out more.
