TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

Carers Count is a not-for-profit service facilitated by Cloverleaf Advocacy that supports unpaid adult carers in Kirklees.
Caring for a loved one can be overwhelming, but you’re not alone – we’re here to support you every step of the way. We work with carers (and those they care for under our Mental Health Service) aged 18 and over who give their time to support someone with a physical disability, long-term illness, older age, additional needs, a learning disability, dementia or mental ill-health.
Our dedicated team provides advice, information, advocacy, support groups, and activities for unpaid carers
At Carers Count part of our work is providing groups for those in a caring role and for those who are being cared for with a mental health illness, substance misuse and early onset dementia to be supported in a peer support environment.
Groups at Carers Count are regular and provide a space for people to access support and wellbeing activities which in turn helps them relax, have time out while supporting each other.
The groups are facilitated by a group worker, with training, volunteers can help the groups run and provide this support.
The role involves supporting the group worker at the scrap journaling group alongside Clear at our offices in Dewsbury every Thursday 1pm - 3pm this involves helping to deliver the group, engage with the attendees and any activities that they maybe doing. We will provide training in preparation for this role and ongoing support once you begin.
Opportunities to volunteer alongside other services in the Working Together Better Partnership which consists of 7 adult services in Kirklees who support those with mental health.
