TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

If you are interested in working with young people, want experience of supporting the local community, or just want to try something new.
Happy Mamas Super Mamas based at Chickenley Childrens Centre is seeking new volunteers.
If you are aged 17+ working towards a qualification in Early years. Or 18+ and just interested in trying something new then please get in touch.
What will I be doing?
The day varies from being a friendly supportive helper,
Meeting and greeting families,
Running storytime and rhymetime
Engaging with children's play,
Supporting other parents with advice and guidance,
Providing snack time and supporting these young people to be school ready.
The challenge is rewarding and there are opportunities for further training and becoming qualified to baby weigh and offer further activities.
The days we are looking for are Tuesday 0930-1130/ 1230-1430 and also Thursday 0930-1130.
