TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

Oxfam is a global organisation that fights inequality to end poverty and injustice. We offer lifesaving support in times of crisis and advocate for economic justice, gender equality, and climate action. We demand equal rights and equal treatment so that everyone can thrive, not just survive.
We are located at the Oxfam Online Warehouse, Mill Forest Way, Grange Road, Batley, West Yorkshire, WF17 6RA
Do you have a passion for jewellery and a knack for spotting hidden treasures? We're looking for volunteers to support our jewellery department with a range of roles to suit individual interests. From organising, to repair to making, we’re on the lookout for jewellery volunteers to join our Festivals team and / or Online teams at our Batley hub.
As a volunteer, you’ll be helping to bring new life to jewellery donations, mending broken pieces and creating stunning new treasures to be sold through our ecommerce platforms or our Festival pop-up shops. This volunteer role is based at Oxfam’s Online Hub in Batley which is the largest online charity shop in the UK, having launched in 2007. We showcase a fantastic range of Oxfam’s amazing donations; from designer labels to wonderful vintage pieces!
Each year, our Festivals volunteers help raise over an incredible £1.5 million for Oxfam! On top of that, in 2023, our campaigners helped spread our message to thousands of festivalgoers, gathering a record-breaking 46,000 petition signatures, and our shop staff prevented over 9 tonnes of clothing from ending up in landfills!
Collectively, our amazing family of volunteers have an unmeasurable impact in our fight against poverty, and for climate justice.

We will give you all the training and support you need so previous experience is not necessary. The Hub is open between 9 am and 4 pm, Monday to Friday, so no weekend or evenings. We are flexible; you could commit to regular days and times or keep it adhoc. It’s up to you! We provide refreshments, cover local travel expenses and also pay towards your lunch.
Interested?
If you’re ready to get creative with jewellery donations, we’d love to hear from you! Your time and expertise will help us create unique, beautiful pieces that will raise funds for great causes.
