TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

Huddersfield Central Youth Club is a registered charity youth club that is open four evenings a week. It celebrated its centenary in 2019.
We provide a safe environment for young people to meet and participate in various sports and other activities. Within the club young people can take part in a wide range of sports and other activities including football, pool, snooker, table tennis, arts and crafts, cooking and video games. The Club is open on Tuesdays & Fridays from 6pm to 9pm for 11 to 17 year olds.
The Club is also the home of Central Stars Youth Club; a place for young people with additional needs, mild or moderate disabilities. Wednesdays 6pm to 9 for ages 13 -24 and Thursdays 5pm to 8 for 8 to 14 year olds.
The Club has a full time youth leader and a management committee (comprising the youth leader and some volunteers) that meets for two hours early evening once every two months.
We would like another member for the management committee and are particularly interested in people who would like to help with bringing extra income into the Club through funding applications and other means.
This may lead to becoming a trustee of the Youth Club, but this is not a requirement of being on the Management Committee.
