TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

Mondays at Moldgreen URC – Wellbeing Day Volunteer

To support the weekly ‘Mondays at Moldgreen URC’ wellbeing day by helping to create a welcoming, friendly and safe environment for attendees. The role involves assisting with refreshments, helping set up and support activities such as light exercise sessions and a craft group, and spending time chatting with and encouraging attendees.
The role will typically involve the following tasks -
- Helping to prepare, serve and tidy away refreshments
- Supporting the set-up and clear-down of activities, including exercise sessions and craft activities
- Offering practical help during sessions where needed (e.g. handing out materials, setting up chairs or tables)
- Chatting with attendees and helping them feel welcome, included and comfortable
- Helping and supporting others within the team
We are looking for people with the following qualities -
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Friendly and approachable manner
- Enjoys talking to people and listening
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures
What we will provide to support you -
A full introduction to ‘Mondays at Moldgreen URC’, including health & safety and safeguarding overview.
Training opportunities, if of interest.
A key contact you can speak to, if you need any help or have any queries – the activities coordinator will be there every week
