TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

We are a counselling, training and resource centre, based in Milnsbridge. We offer counselling to anyone in need for a range of issues from bereavement to depression. We also provide training courses for anyone wanting to become a counsellor as well as hiring rooms and our sports hall to local groups. We also have a charity shop in the centre of Milnsbridge selling donated items at affordable prices. Our counselling service is BACP accredited and is very busy as counselling is an important tool in helping people cope with the stresses and strains of life and the impact of our ever changing society.
We are a BACP accredited counselling service and are looking for qualified counsellors to join our team on a volunteer basis. This would be an ideal opportunity for newly qualified counsellors looking to gain experience or for those who are building up their hours towards accreditation, but counsellors in any stage of their career would be welcomed. Candidates would need to hold a Diploma in Counselling or equivalent and a DBS check would be undertaken prior to starting. We would ask for a minimum of half a day/evening per week, and supervision would be provided for clients seen for the organisation.
