TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

We are a counselling, training and resource centre, based in Milnsbridge. We offer counselling to anyone in need for a range of issues from bereavement to depression. We also provide training courses for anyone wanting to become a counsellor as well as hiring rooms and our sports hall to local groups. We also have a charity shop in the centre of Milnsbridge selling donated items at affordable prices. Our counselling service is BACP accredited and is very busy as counselling is an important tool in helping people cope with the stresses and strains of life and the impact of our ever changing society.
We are looking for people who can give half a day or one evening a week to man our reception. Prior experience would be useful but not essential as training will be provided, but must have good communication skills, be able to work both as part of a team and using own initiative, has a welcoming manner and also have basic IT skills.
Duties would include answering the telephone and greeting clients and visitors.
