TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

We provide emergency 7-day food packs, along with essential cleaning and hygiene products, to individuals facing food crises in our community. Additionally, our in-house advice, guidance, and support service helps empower people on a
pathway to greater independence and freedom from food insecurity. We are one of the largest independent food banks in the UK.
Join Our Board of Trustees
We are looking for committed and passionate individuals to join our Board of Trustees and help support our mission of providing practical help and hope to local people facing crisis.
We are particularly interested in applications from people with experience in marketing and communications, governance, or logistics. However, you do not need to have specialist knowledge to apply. We welcome applications from anyone who shares our vision and values, including individuals with lived experience of food poverty or family crisis.
Becoming a trustee is an opportunity to use your skills and experience to make a real difference within our community while helping shape the future of our charity. You do not have to know everything from day one. We will provide full training, induction, and ongoing support, alongside the opportunity to work within a lively, supportive, and rewarding environment. Above all, we are looking for enthusiastic people who care about helping others and want to contribute their time, ideas, and energy to a cause that matters.
If you feel your skills and experience could benefit The Welcome Centre's Board, we would love to hear from you. Further information about the role and application form will be sent to you as a link when you submit your details below.
