TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

Pass It On with Revive, Batley is part of the Revive Reuse CIC social enterprise, that promotes reuse across West Yorkshire. Funds generated support our member charities St. Vincent De Paul and SLATE.
The shop is located on 64 Commercial St, Batley, WF17 5DS
Responsibilities vary depending on the goods being transported, but typically driver’s mates assist the driver with:
- Checking that all the items are accounted for against delivery/collection sheets
- Planning routes, navigating and advising the driver about diversions
- Helping unload/load goods at the delivery/collection points
- Placing items at the customer’s request – subject to health & safety and our terms and conditions
- Contacting customers to advise when they can expect us to arrive
- Acting as a banksman for the drivers parking in tight spaces, concealed entrances or sharp corners
Experience
Previous experience is preferred but not essential
- A proactive, considerate and hardworking team player who is used to working on strict working schedules and deadlines
- Someone who can participate in manual handling duties, lifting heavy weights as an individual or part of a team
- Helping to ensure that vehicles are kept in appropriate condition that defects are reported and the cab interior are kept tidy
- Good communication and listening skills
