TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

The West Yorkshire Community Chaplaincy Project – WYCCP Resettlement Service – aims to create a better society for us all by working alongside people who have been in prison to help them achieve settled and productive lives back in our community.
We begin working with people inside prison and this help can continue for many months post-release with them and their families. Our team of dedicated full time staff are assisted by a committed team of volunteers who are vital in providing both practical and emotional assistance to ex-prisoners as they settle back into the community.
- We are looking for committed people who are emotionally mature, empathic and able to maintain firm boundaries. Reliability and adaptability are essential.
- We ask our volunteers to offer a minimum of 3 hours a week to their volunteering. This can be anytime Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:30am – 4.00pm.
- Training and Support – full support and regular volunteer supervisions are provided. All volunteers must complete our training and induction programme prior to being matched to a service user. Our next volunteer induction is due to take place in March 2026.
