TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

When life gets tough or it feels like there’s nowhere to turn, Barnardo’s is here.
We make sure children and young people feel safer, happier, healthier and more hopeful, by running over 800 specialist services across the UK, and campaigning to change the way the system works for the better.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help in our Ravensthorpe retail shop at Ravensthorpe Shopping Park, Huddersfield Road, Ravensthorpe, WF13 3JW.
The role is flexible and designed to fit around your commitments. Volunteering times/days can be discussed during the introductory meeting with the shop Manager.
What will the role involve?
- Working on the till processing sales and returns - don't worry we provide full training for all tasks!
- Preparing stock, including sorting, steaming and pricing items
- Creating stylish window displays
- Replenishing stock on the shop floor
- Stocktaking and other administrative tasks
Skills we are looking for:

- Friendly and helpful

- Flexible and willing to do a variety of the shop tasks
