TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

Our vision is to deliver pioneering care through pregnancy, childhood and loss, whenever families need us, whatever their future holds.
We make our vision a reality by:
- offering high quality, bespoke, specialist services for mums and dads to be, babies, children, and their families, coping with life-limiting conditions and living with loss
- being inclusive, accessible and available 24/7 in our hospice, at home, in hospital and in our communities
- ensuring every penny raised and every minute gifted is focussed on the needs of the families we support.
We like to make our roles varied so you can gain new experiences and enhance your skills – the role of Shop Assistant Volunteer may include;
· Ensuring quality customer service
· Handling money
· Introducing gift aid to donors
· Promoting the Forget Me Not lottery
· Sorting and steaming clothes
· Servicing customers
· Housing keeping and merchandising
· Be a positive role model for our younger volunteers
· Training, supporting & supervising young volunteers, work experience & other youth development schemes by using the ‘Welcome & Induction Booklet’
