TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees
This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.
We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly. Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

Age UK Calderdale & Kirklees is a registered charity that helps older people ‘love later life’. Our aim is to improve the quality of life of older people by providing a variety of practical support services across Calderdale and Kirklees.
As a Day Centre Volunteer you will be involved in a wide range of work which is of assistance to clients and the staff team. Volunteers help make clients feel comfortable and at ease by serving refreshments; helping with lunch; listening and chatting with them; and supporting them in activities and group participation.
Duties can also include making refreshments for clients and visitors; washing up; cleaning the kitchen area; and helping out with laundry when required
Our Wellbeing Centres are situated at the The Whitfield Centre, 180 Soothill Lane, Batley. WF17 6HP and at Sundale House, 44 Keldregate, Huddersfield HD2 1SY. You can volunteer at either of these sites.
