TSL Kirklees Volunteering is the official Volunteer Centre for Kirklees

This means that we’re here to help you get started on your volunteering journey and support you through the process.

We also make sure that any groups or charities that advertise for volunteers on our website will look after their volunteers properly.  Some of them will have a stamp of approval called the Kirklees Volunteering Quality Award (KVQA), which means that they’ve done even more to make sure that their volunteers are valued and have a good experience.

About the Organisation
We are a specialist support service for young people affected by drugs or alcohol, as well as their families, carers and concerned professionals.
Our services are free and completely confidential.  We don't judge and we understand that every person's experience is different.
We offer:
  • Tailored services for young people, their families/ carers and professionals ranging from one-off sessions to longer term support
  • One-to-one therapeutic interventions
  • Targeted groupwork programmes
  • A range of free tailored training programmes available to professionals that work with young people in Kirklees
  • Targeted outreach and in-reach (drop-ins)
  • Support for children and young people who are affected by parental substance use
  • Youth Smoking and Vaping Service: structured groupwork sessions available to professionals working with groups of young people aged 11-13 years old in Kirklees.  We also offer similar sessions to parents in the community.
Role Description

Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live.

Last year over 1400 volunteers donated over a quarter of million hours of their time to our organisation.

As a Young Persons Outreach Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in the local community by promoting our service and providing support and advice with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
