Safety of Women at Night Fund
The Home Office have launched the £5m Safety of Women at Night Fund. It is similar in its parameters to the recently submitted Safer Streets Fund 3. The main objectives are:
- Funding for interventions focusing on preventing VAWG in public spaces at night, including in the night-time economy (NTE), within venues and on related routes home.
- Reduce the fear of VAWG and improve feelings of safety in public spaces at night including the NTE; and
- Build an evidence base for what works in improving women’s safety in the above contexts.

- The fund is open to charities, community and voluntary organisations, social enterprises and cooperatives
- Bid Deadline – Wednesday 1st September ‘21
- Max Bid – £300,000 (No match funding requirement)
- Decisions made – November ‘21 for delivery spend completion by end March ’22.
