Implementation phase of the Family Hubs model: Tender
As you may be aware Cabinet approved the proposals for developing a model of ‘Family Hubs’ across Kirklees in April and they are now moving to the implementation stage.
A tender opportunity that will be advertised at the end of August to establish and run area partnership boards, one in each of the 4 agreed ‘Family Hub’ areas which are Dewsbury & Mirfield, Batley & Spen, Huddersfield, Kirklees Rural (Colne & Holme Valley, Denby Dale & Kirkburton).
The partnership boards will focus on needs, improving outcomes and capturing the voice of children, young people and families at a local level and will be made up of key stakeholders, including young people, who live, work or have an interest in the ‘Family Hub’ area.
Submitting your bid
In order to submit a bid, your organisation will need to be registered on the council’s procurement system.
Kirklees Council uses ‘YORtender’ an e-tendering portal (utilised by Local Authorities in Yorkshire and the Humber) to conduct procurement activity.
Attached are details on how to register as a Supplier on YORtender. Once registered you will be able to access the tender documentation and submit responses via the portal.
To search for the opportunity, go to your Homepage and select ‘Find Opportunities’ within the ‘Opportunities’ section. You can then use the filtering options on the left hand side of the screen to limit the list to those issued by Kirklees Council. The opportunity can then be selected by clicking on the blue underlined title. This should then allow you to ‘Register an Interest’ which in turn provides access to the documentation.
Once you have ‘Registered an Interest’, you can go to your Homepage and select the drop down arrow under the ‘Active’ tab under the ‘Activities’ Section. Then select ‘Kirklees Council’ and ‘Go’. This will generate a list of all of the opportunities for which you have registered an interest.
The instructions in the documentation and on the portal will explain how to complete and submit your response.
