NCS Employability and Life Skills Programme for 16 TO 24 yrs (SEND)

The new Kirklees Youth Alliance NCS programme for young people with SEND aged 16-24 years is due to start this October.
If you know of any 16–24-year-olds who would benefit from employability and life skills, please follow the link below to complete a registration form or contact Kirklees Youth Alliance directly. Please note any young people aged 18+ must have an EHCP, 16 and 17-year-olds should have a statement of SEND or be awaiting a diagnosis.
The programme starts from 22nd October 2024, running weekly 2hr sessions at three different youth hubs across Kirklees (young people can start at any time throughout the programme):
Dewsbury: Tuesday – 1-3pm
Batley: Tuesday – 10am-12pm
Huddersfield: Thursdays – 6-8pm
The programme covers a different topic each week including finance management, cooking, safe relationships and independent travel and every fortnight there is a different employability workshop from specialist C+K Careers Advisors. The programme encourages everyone to work towards their own goals while making new friends within the group.
