New Vision: New Future
This nine-year-old, very active young man was in dire need of glasses with an out of the ordinary prescription lenses. This was to help him cope with his schoolwork and to settle into his new life with his Mum in Huddersfield. Luckily the International New Arrivals Team in Kirklees Council applied for and were able secure some funds for these special glasses.
With a lot of support from the TSL Migration Team and two Albanian speaking Welcome Mentors liaising constantly with the opticians on behalf of his mum, he is finally equipped for the future. His mum is over the moon and very grateful. You can tell by the look on his face what he thinks!
