SEND: The Big Plan (Part 2) –What’s Happening Next in 2025
The latest step in the SEND Transformation Programme has been unveiled with the release of ‘SEND: The Big Plan (Part 2) – What We Are Doing Next (2025)’.
This document builds on the overarching SEND Big Plan, published in October 2023, and outlines the next phase of work to improve services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
The plan has been developed in partnership with key organisations, including Education, NHS – Health / Locala, C&K Careers, voluntary sector groups such as PCAN (Parents of Children with Additional Needs), and Council colleagues. It reflects the voices of young people, parents, carers, and professionals who provided feedback on what they wanted to see.
The plan is now available online and is being widely shared across the SEND community. Professionals, parents, carers, and young people are encouraged to read and distribute it to ensure everyone stays informed about the next steps in SEND transformation.
